In four of them the bathroom is not inside the room itself, because of the way the building is built, but it is still private to your dorm. Where exactly is Brú?

57 MacCurtain Street in Cork city centre, five minutes’ walk from Kent Station and the bus station.

Is Brú a hostel or a bar?

Both, in one building. The hostel is upstairs and Brú Bar is the ground floor, which is why guests can be at a gig thirty seconds after dropping a bag.

Is there someone on reception when I arrive?

Always. Reception is staffed twenty-four hours, so it does not matter how late your train gets in.

Are the dorms en-suite?

Every dorm has a private bathroom. In four of them the bathroom is not inside the room itself, because of the way the building is built, but it is still private to your dorm. Every bed gets a locker, a reading light and a plug you can actually reach.

Is the bar noisy at night?

The bar is a floor below the beds and the music finishes around 11.30. Ask for a room at the back if you’re a light sleeper.

Do you take group bookings?

We do. Ring rather than book online for anything over ten people and we will work out the best way to fit you in.
