Not a shared bathroom down the corridor. Every dorm at Brú has a private bathroom that only its own guests use, which is unusual for a hostel at this price.

There’s a band on downstairs tonight. You don’t need a ticket.

Brú Bar is not down the road. It is the ground floor of the building you are sleeping in, with live music five nights a week and all the sport on our big screens.

Show your keycard at the bar if you booked direct and the first half pint of Beamish is on us.

How many beds are in each dorm?

Our dorms are four-bed rooms, and each one has a private bathroom. Beds are sold individually, so you can book one bed rather than the whole dorm.

Are there female-only dorms?

Yes. The whole second floor is kept for women, with the same four-bed layout and a private bathroom.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is from 2pm and check-out is by 11am. Reception is staffed twenty-four hours, so it does not matter how late your train gets in.

Can you take a group?

We can. For ten people or more, ring us rather than booking online and we will work out the best way to fit you all in.

Do I need to bring a towel?

Bed linen is included, towels are not. Hire one at reception for €5 and you get €3 back when you hand it in, so it costs €2 if you would rather travel light.

Is there a kitchen I can use?

Yes, a shared kitchen and a dining room, both open to all guests. The kitchen closes at midnight.
