The male dorm is the same four bed layout as the mixed rooms, with the same bathroom inside the room. The only difference is who we put in it.

There is one male dorm in the building, four beds in total, so it is worth booking ahead if your dates are fixed.

Brú Bar is not down the road. It is the ground floor of the building you are sleeping in, with live music five nights a week and all the sport on our big screens. No other hostel in Cork has one.

Show your keycard at the bar if you booked direct and the first half pint of Beamish is on us.

How is the male dorm kept male only?

Reception does not release it into general availability. It is the one four bed room in the building kept for men, in the same way the whole second floor is kept for women.

Is it the same layout as the mixed dorm?

Yes. Four beds, bunks, and a bathroom inside the room. The layout and the fittings are identical.

How many male dorm beds are there?

Four, in one room. It’s the only male-only dorm in the building, so book ahead if your dates are fixed.
